RIP: Prolific Essayist & Provocateur Christopher Hitchens 1949-2011

Forever the contrarian and provocateur, Vanity Fair writer Christopher Hitchens died at 62 on December 15, 2011. The first of his family to attend the university, British-born Hitchens ferociously defended humanity from what he considered were the 'atrocities of religion.'
